Honey Garlic Ginger Marinade
We’ve decided to open up our recipe books and share some of our Springridge secrets. Like most of you, we are at home and needing tips and ideas for tasty and simple family food. We’ll be posting about how to recreate some of our most popular recipes at home, hoping to send some tasty cheer your way.
Today we’re giving you the recipe for our Honey Garlic Ginger Marinade, a go-to Hughes family and customer favourite, made from pantry staples. Yesterday we marinated chicken pieces, but this is also perfect for beef, pork, fish, firm tofu, and vegetables. .
In a medium bowl (or a large freezer bag), blend the following ingredients:
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soya sauce
2 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp finely chopped onions
1 fat clove garlic, finely chopped
1/2 tsp dried ginger .
We like to marinate for at least four hours (and up to 12 hours). Last night, we roasted (at 400F) our marinated chicken pieces right in the marinade for 40-45 minutes, basting often as they roasted. Feel free to grill or pan fry instead if you prefer. This recipe can easily be doubled!
We hope you enjoy this Springridge secret recipe, from our family to yours.
